Editorial Standards & Methodology
Last updated: August 11, 2026
Currency.Wiki News covers currencies, foreign exchange, central banks, cryptocurrency, commodities, and the broader economy. This page explains exactly how our articles are produced, where our data comes from, and how we check it — so you can judge our work for yourself.
How our articles are produced
Our newsroom uses an AI-assisted workflow. Each article begins with real market signals — rate movements, central-bank announcements, and reporting from established financial news sources — which are drafted into a story by a large language model and then run through the automated checks described below before publication. We are transparent about this: every article carries a clear notice that it was produced with AI assistance. We publish this way to cover currency markets across many pairs quickly, not to replace judgment about what is accurate or worth covering.
Our exchange-rate data
The rate figures in our articles come from Currency.Wiki's own exchange-rate data — the same data that powers our converter and apps. Rates are aggregated from multiple independent providers and validated before use: if a source returns incomplete or implausible data, our system automatically falls back to another provider rather than publishing a bad number. Rates are mid-market reference rates for informational purposes and are not buy/sell dealing rates.
How we fact-check
Before an article is published, it is automatically reviewed against our rate data and editorial rules. That check will hold an article back if it:
- states an exchange rate that does not match our verified rate data;
- claims an implausible market move that looks like a data error rather than real news;
- attributes a quote to a named person that cannot be substantiated;
- offers direct buy or sell investment advice; or
- is not genuinely about currencies, markets, or the economy.
Articles that fail these checks are not published. Articles that pass carry a “Fact-checked” label.
What we don't do
We do not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and nothing we publish is a recommendation to buy or sell any currency, security, or asset. We do not fabricate quotes, sources, or statistics. We do not accept payment to cover, promote, or alter coverage of any topic — our reporting is independent of our advertising and subscription businesses.
Accuracy & corrections
We work to be accurate, and we correct mistakes promptly and transparently. If you spot an error, please see our Corrections policy for how to report it.
